Hope you all are doing well in your organization. Today i want to start some discussion regarding our salaries....
As we know that, All(almost) IT peoples has large salaries, do we really deserve for this much salary?
Please write your comments for this honestly.....

coming back to your point, do we deserve salary greater than all other professions ?
I could not answer you yes/no straight away. Its confusing .. because the whole thing going around is frustrating. Rise in prices, having so called higher salary one cant afford a 2bhk in city like pune or in any metropolitan city. On the other hand the work most of IT professionals do is maintenance and that made me think the same question you raised.
Its great peoples started well(job) and carry on the momentum and get good packages.
but those started through the small scale industries they still struggling for
good salaries and really they deserve for it.These guys make switch also but
previous salary is low so the increment(30 to 40% plus) is low as per the experience.
so its great those have good salaries or packages but large unlucky peoples also in this field.
so we should assist these if we get strong position.
@Yogesh, you are trying to compare IT peoples with IT Peoples. If you compare IT people with other industries say manufacturing managers you might see a different picture.
@Yogesh, this is true what Shekhar said. don't compare btwn IT ppls, that's why i already mentioned "ALMOST(not all)" in my question "All(almost) IT peoples has large salaries".
@Shekhar, "Rise in prices" could be the valid reason and one more is "Value of currency".
but both things are for all, not specific to IT ppls...
still bus conductors & drivers are managing in same metropolitan city with 8000-10000 only...
That is also true almost(not all) ppls are in maintenance for that, this much salary???
Salary should be directly proportional to the work rather than field.
nobody can define about the salary proportions but everybody can define where to draw the line of expectations. One can solve salary problem being an entrepreneur. Those who cant solve it may have to be destroyed by process. Because survival of the fittest is the rule of nature. So instead of cursing politicians or govt. or process lets change the way we earn ;)

I have raised this bcz i saw lots of the ppls those has good salary(more than their abilities: i don't have rights to decide some buddy's ability) still they are looking for other companies to get hike...
Hell Yessss!!!!!! Otherwise all this money will go to company's owner and the main question arises.. Does he/she deserve that money!!!
